LeSean McCoy is the latest person to have a bad take about Colin Kaepernick

More than 1,000 people gathered in front of the NFL’s offices Wednesday in New York to support Colin Kaepernick. The next day, LeSean McCoy said he doesn’t think Cheap Jerseys Outlets Kaepernick’s protest during the national anthem last season is the reason Kaepernick is unemployed. He just doesn’t think Kaepernick is a very good player.

Black Americans hold a more favorable view of Kaepernick going into the season: 43 percent found him favorable compared to 29 percent of white people and 20 percent of “other minorities.” Black people who were polled were also twice as likely as any other group to boycott the NFL and stop watching football.

Kaepernick’s fight for black lives has made a significant impact on his supporters and the national dialogue on racial equality. His film shows there’s still not a clear football reason he’s unemployed. And every week rallies are appearing nationwide, showing the NFL that this issue isn’t going away.

Though Kaepernick remains unsigned, his fight continues. And however people see Kaepernick, or how it affects ratings (or not), protest in football doesn’t appear to be going away anytime soon.

It’s reasonable to suggest the Bengals could be better across the board. Will that matter if they make the postseason, given that Lewis is a remarkable 0-7 in playoff games during his time in charge? As tempting as it is to assume that the Bengals are automatically doomed come January, I’d be Cheap Jerseys Shop skeptical.

That’s why Antetokounmpo is already so appealing to Adidas.

Wiggins has to do something similar while he’s playing with Towns, but he doesn’t have the same national appeal as Irving. He lacks the personality and social presence Irving does, and without those qualities, his potential signature shoe runs the risk of being suppressed by Towns’ presence. Is that a chance Adidas wants to take?

That’s why Antetokounmpo is already so appealing to Adidas. He’s an All-Star starter, the face of his franchise, a bubbly personality, and one of the best players in the league while being the same age as Wiggins. Adidas is right to covet Antetokounmpo over the guy it already had in the fold.

Adidas hasn’t shown a hesitancy to break with athletes it already has, either. The company cut ties with John Wall after it had to overpay to pry James Harden from Nike. Wall already had two signature shoes with Adidas, but the brand didn’t blink when he walked away from a $7 million deal per year. It even put Wiggins’ logo on the Crazy Explosive, which was rumored to be the design for John Wall’s next signature shoe.

Wiggins might believe he deserves a signature shoe, but his play on the court along with team success will dictate that. As of now, it seems Adidas is leaning toward skipping the signature shoe path with him. With Antetokounmpo on the rise, it should remain that way.

One thing is certain when it comes to Rich Paul’s top clients: He’s not scared to play the waiting game. Noel has already held out much of the summer, and NBA training camp is around the corner.

Both Tristan Thompson and J.R. Smith held out well into October before inking their respective deals. And if the Mavericks aren’t willing to give Texas Rangers Cheap Jerseys their young center the money he feels he deserves, Dallas could be entering training Super Cheap Jerseys camp with either Salah Mejri or Jeff Withey as their starter.

In most sports video games, who you’re going to pass the ball to can often be implied.

However, there are always instances in sports video games where you pass to the wrong player because you didn’t use icon passing and just assumed that they would make the move that you wanted to make.

While icon passing can easily solve these problems, sometimes using the standard pass buttons are easier and this white line can help both casual and advanced gamers from those “I pressed the wrong button, I swear!” moments.

I get to reunite with my former teammate (Nick Howard) and show the world that I can still ball after all the stuff that has happened to my legs. I have Stephen A. Smith and Max Kellerman talking about me on First Take, so I know I must be a big deal.

Lottery reform has been put on the back burner since Sam Hinkie died for his sins. (Note: He didn’t actually die.) It’s time to bring it back.

Most reform ideas — other than radical but fascinating schemes like The Wheel — would decrease the odds of getting a top pick for the worst teams, increase those odds for other non-playoff teams, and remove or move the cliffs that guarantee the worst teams pick no lower than a certain spot. (For instance, currently the worst team in the league can get no worse than the No. 4 pick. Most lottery reforms plans get rid of that conceit or move it down to No. 7 or so by determining more slots via lottery.)

While reforming the lottery can’t help a team without lottery picks like the Nets, it does de-emphasize the draft by making it more random — more of a true lottery. Lowering the importance of the draft increases the importance Order Cheap Jerseys Online of salary cap space, something the Nets have and teams can get by clearing their books, even if they’ve traded away draft picks.

But there’s a scenario in which lottery reform wouldn’t matter in Personalized Cheap Jerseys the least. That’d be the case if you took my third suggestion.

Adrian Beltre cracks himself up by quoting Marshawn Lynch after getting his 3,000th hit

Adrian Beltre is one of baseball’s funniest players, and after getting his 3,000th hit this weekend, he’s one of the most talented, too. But his elite achievement didn’t stop him from doing what he does best — cracking jokes.

In a postgame press conference, Beltre mimicked Marshawn Lynch’s famous “I’m just here so I won’t get fined” line from Super Bowl XLIX — and it was absolutely hilarious:

Three batters up, three batters down, with nothing but nine strikes to get the job done. Before letting up a one-run homer in the bottom of the sixth, Porcello had sent 14 batters in a row back to the bench with nothing to show for it.

He’s the eighth pitcher in the league to do so this season, including fellow Sox pitcher Craig Kimbrel, who threw one back on May 11.

Dellin Betances recently did it for the Yankees, which means three of the five pitchers to throw an immaculate inning this season belong to one half of one of the most enduring rivalry in the game.

Both teams might make the playoffs, but for Boston fans this Cheap Nike Jerseys marks another category where the Red Sox are in the lead in addition to that whole divisional race Cheap Qld Basketball Jerseys thing.

Too bad immaculate innings don’t really count toward playoff success, but it’s fun to have another one happen this season as it’s an impressive feat.

Dellin Betances threw the sixth immaculate inning in Yankees history

Three outs, nine strikes, and not one pitch touched by a bat — that’s an immaculate inning, and Dellin Betances threw one on Wednesday night to put his name in the record books.

It’s the sixth ever immaculate inning for a Yankee, with Betances joining Brandon McCarthy, Ivan Nova, A.J. Burnett, Ron Guidry, and Al Downing in the history books. Interestingly enough, it was also the sixth immaculate inning to be thrown in the league this season. The last belonged to Carlos Carrasco in early July.

Betances’ impressive inning (which happened in the top of the eighth) came after a multiple-hour rain delay at Yankee Stadium and in a game that New York would eventually lose.

It’s still history, though, even if there weren’t thousands of people at the field when it happened.

Just as important: The rest of the team was amazing. This was a roster that had Ken Griffey, Jr. in his prime, Edgar Martinez demolishing the league, a 21-year-old Alex Rodriguez, and Randy Johnson at his best. Those are four Hall of Fame-worthy players in their prime, all doing things together, and that’s before you get to the complementary players like Jay Buhner, Jamie Moyer, and Jeff Fassero. This was a team with one of the best middles of any order you’ll ever see, and they had three postseason-caliber starting pitchers.

And the people watching this team had to sit through blown save after blown save.

Norm Charlton was absolutely dreadful, with a 7.85 ERA just before the trade deadline, and the worst part was that he still hadn’t lost his job as the closer yet. He had allowed Cheap MLB Jerseys From China runs in seven of the 11 games he pitched in July, with multiple runs allowed in four of them. Behind him was Scott Sanders (bad), Bob Wells (bad), Bobby Ayala (pretty OK, considering!), Greg McCarthy (bad), and Cheap NBA Jerseys Felipe Lira (bad). The Mariners were 60-47 at the deadline and in first place, but they had the worst bullpen in baseball.

Chart Party: The saddest plate appearance of all time

If we think about it a certain way, baseball’s lowest point occurred on Aug. 14, 2011, in Miami, Fla. The barely-attended game appeared to have little more than 500 people in the seats, which meant the game featured a fan-to-player ration of 10-1. Maybe it’s for the best that so few were there to witness baseball history’s saddest plate appearance, or maybe it’s a tragedy that more didn’t bear witness.

I’m not going to pretend that these pitchers don’t come with some red flags. Doolittle has troubles staying on the field; Madson is on the older side and often has injury concerns of his own; Kintzler is a weirdo no-strikeout pitcher, even if he’s been successful.

But the Nationals have a bullpen now. They can mix and match better. They can shorten the game just a bit. Their biggest weakness was addressed, which is exactly what a team in their position needs to do. There’s no thinking about 2020 for the Nationals. There’s Max Scherzer and Daniel Murphy Cheap Long Sleeve Soccer Jerseys and Bryce Harper and go go go go go.

If they got Zach Britton or Justin Wilson, they would have made my “Super Winners of the Trade Deadline” column that’s available for premium SB Nation Gold subscribers. As is, they Cheap Mitchell And Ness Jerseys did what they needed to do.

The third is now, right now, because Corey Seager, Francisco Lindor, Carlos Correa, Addison Russell, and Xander Bogaerts are going to define the position for a decade, and there are a half-dozen prospects coming up soon who can add to that impressive list. The Great Wave of Shortstop Hegemony is coming, if it hasn’t swept us away already.

Terrell Davis says former players are ‘all scared’ of CTE

When Terrell Davis earned MVP honors in Super Bowl XXXII, he finished the 31-24 win over the Packers with a severe migraine that affected his vision.

The former Broncos running back was used as a decoy late in the game, but if the NFL’s current concussion protocol was in place in 1997, Davis might not be going into the Hall of Fame on Saturday.

Davis told reporters in Canton, Ohio, on Friday he thinks about his MVP performance in Super Bowl XXXII often, and it makes him wonder if he will have any long-term effects of playing running back for seven years in the NFL.

While many had feared the worst when video of Tannehill’s injury made the rounds Thursday, media reports after practice cited sources saying the 29-year-old had merely hyperextended his knee and there was no significant structural damage.

Tannehill is coming off an injury to the same knee that ended his 2016 season prematurely, breaking a string of 77 consecutive starts since his NFL debut in 2012. The QB opted against surgery to repair partially torn ligaments and had been practicing with a brace on his knee.

He could attempt to rely on rest and rehab again, but even that option likely would sideline him for at least six weeks, ESPN reported.

That means the Dolphins could very well be in the market for another Cheap Jerseys Ireland veteran QB to compete with or supplant backup Matt Moore in the meantime, and speculation about Miami signing Colin Kaepernick or Jay Cutler was underway within minutes of news of the injury Cheap Jerseys Make Your Own breaking Thursday.

Jay Cutler is a short-term upgrade for Dolphins and long-term trouble for Ryan Tannehill

Tannehill’s injury last week was supposed to put an end to that hope. Instead, it opened the door for Miami to “fall upward” as a franchise at their most important position with its signing of Jay Cutler.

Cutler, 34, is more than a mere replacement for an injured quarterback. He’s a short-term upgrade that opens the door for Miami to have a real conversation about Tannehill at the helm of their franchise retool.

Cutler is his guy and gives the Dolphins a better chance to win — and develop their most talented offensive weapon — in 2017.

During a stop in Baltimore on his 4 Your Eyez Only Tour, Cole criticized the Ravens for not signing Kaepernick. There was some interest from the team, but the owner was reportedly against the move. Cole felt this was wrong, and let his thoughts known.

Cole mentioned how the city needed someone to represent them in a positive light and felt like Kaepernick could be that person, but is being stopped from doing so.

“Matter of fact, don’t y’all think that someone that got money, power and fame should be standing up for them type of s—s? Baltimore, the s— that’s happening here, don’t Cheap Jerseys In Canada you think that somebody should risk their whole livelihood and their whole life to talk about this s—? Even if it cost them their money, their job, their life? Don’t that sound like Colin Kaepernick? Don’t that sound like what he doing? And he trying to come to Baltimore, the city that seems to need Cheap Jerseys In UK that s— for real.”

Washington tried to go cheap on Kirk Cousins, and it’s going to cost them

Washington’s NFL team is one of the worst run professional sports franchises on the planet. Between a bad owner who endlessly defends the offensive team name and poor personnel decisions, there’s not much it’s gotten right in recent memory.

Monday further solidified that legacy. The team was unable to come to terms with quarterback Kirk Cousins, which leaves him to play on the franchise tag for a second consecutive season. A third season under the franchise tag would mean the team pays him $34 million (or $28 million under the transition tag), and that’s just not going to happen.

“He had a serious accident. He had multiple injuries,” Carroll told reporters (via the Seattle Times). “He had an injury to his head. It’s going to be quite a while, and we’re going to have to wait it out. He’s on NFI and is going to be there for a while. We’re just going to see how he progresses down the road. We’re not looking for him to get back in the immediate, not even for the first game of the season. We’re going to wait it out and see how he does.”

While Carroll declined to put a timetable on McDowell’s potential return, saying “I’d like to hope so” when asked if the 35th overall pick would play this season, the Tacoma News Tribune reported it’s “not likely” McDowell will see the field in 2017.

Carroll did say there are no indications the injuries are career-threatening.

“We’ve just got to wait him out,” Carroll said. “He’s a real young Cheap Jerseys From USA kid so he has Cheap Jerseys From China plenty of time to get well. We have to make sure and take care.”

Bears LB Jerrell Freeman saves choking man at airport

A meal at the Austin airport quickly turned into a matter of life or death for Bears linebacker Jerrell Freeman at the Austin airport Sunday.

While awaiting a brisket sandwich from an airport restaurant, Freeman saw a man in distress nearby. Freeman thought the man may have lost a child, but when a woman ran to the man and tried the Heimlich maneuver Freeman recognized the man was choking.

Despite exceptional play over eight seasons, the Clippers center has never been named an All-Star, so he expected more of the same in 2017. He was so sure of the fact that he actually planned a trip to Hawaii, which he had to cancel once he discovered the news.

After practice on Thursday, I had my trip to Hawaii ready to go. I was super excited about it, Jordan told ESPN’s The Undefeated. I was waiting for this one last little thing [All-Star announcement]. I was leaving at 6 in the morning [of Feb. 16] and was ready to rock. Someone texted me and said, ‘Hey, you got to cancel that trip to Hawaii.’ I was like, ‘No, this is done. This is set. What’s up?’

I was thinking that they would have known at practice if I made it or not. They didn’t say nothing at practice, so I was like, ‘Cool, I didn’t make it. I’m about to set my trip up.’

Jordan went on to tell The Undefeated about his Cheap Discount Jerseys emotions toward making it for the first time. He said he had essentially given up on the idea of ever Cheap Custom Jerseys making it to the game. Last year was especially strange as he was named All-NBA First Team, but not an All-Star.
