Josh McDaniels may be called to testify in Aaron Hernandez’s double-murder trial

Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels could go from coaching in the Super Bowl to taking the witness stand in a matter of weeks during the upcoming double-murder trial of Aaron Hernandez.

The former Patriots tight end is accused of killing Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado in Boston in 2012.

According to a police report, he “punched a bouncer in the Baseball Jerseys Cheap face and later said he was ‘going to go to my car and get my AK-47 and spray this place.'” He entered a plea deal that allowed him to plead guilty to disorderly conduct and serve 50 hours of community service.

There was also a leaked Snapchat photo that allegedly showed Kelly with marijuana.

Kelly is just another player to fall under the Combine’s new rule banning players with off-field issues. A memo was sent out to teams last year saying that players who have a background check come up with a felony or misdemeanor conviction will not be invited. Players who don’t submit to a background check also aren’t invited.

Kelly joins Joe Mixon (Oklahoma) and Ishmael Zamora (Baylor) as players who were not invited due to off-field issues. The quarterback was questionable to compete in the drills anyway San Jose Sharks Cheap Jerseys as he recovers from knee surgery, but he’ll miss out on the team interviews and other processes of the Combine.
