Gisele Bundchen ruffled a lot of feathers last week when she said her husband, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, had a concussion last year and has “concussions pretty much every year.”
Bundchen’s comment on “CBS This Morning” caused some to question the integrity of the Patriots’ injury report because Brady never appeared on it last year for a concussion.
For now, the Texans aren’t looking to thrust Quessenberry back on the field since it has been so long since he has practiced, let alone played. But he said the team is working with him and has been supportive since his cancer diagnosis at age 23.
“That’s what they’re working on right now,” Quessenberry said. “We’re in uncharted territory. But I feel great and it will be very soon where I can play. I’m definitely not the same person, probably physically and mentally. But I think I came out of this stronger, both physically and mentally.”
Quessenberry was diagnosed with the disease in June 2014 after he felt constantly tired and had a continual cough. Even though his cancer was said to be in remission in February 2015, he completed his final treatment in April.
